Adult Learners Awards recognise, celebrate and promote the achievement through learning of adults in Scottish Borders. The Awards ceremony is now in its twenty first year and each year we are privileged to hear the inspirational stories of individuals and groups who have overcome significant barriers to learning and improved their life chances. In doing so, many of them have become active contributors to their local communities through supporting others and volunteering.

Any adult (16+, post school) who is resident in the Borders can be nominated until the deadline of 22nd February 2019.

Nominations are invited in the following categories:

  • Young learner (16-25yrs)
  • Learner in the work place
  • Mature learner (50+ yrs)
  • Learning in a group
  • Learning in the community
  • Accredited learning
  • Learning through volunteering

The ceremony will take place on the evening of Tuesday 23rd April, 2019, at Earlston High School.
