What Matters - Effective Conversations training

“What Matters” Sessions Summer 2018

SB Health Social Care Partnership What Matters Scottish Borders

We need to keep building on the success of the “What Matters” Hubs within the Scottish Borders. The Social Work Professional Development Team are facilitating three individual half day sessions this summer. This is particularly aimed at people who missed out on the initial sessions, run earlier in the year, by NDTi (National Development Team for Inclusion).

Participants will get the opportunity to explore the Effective Conversations model, building on their existing skills and develop the confidence to use this approach within the community led support environment. By the end of the session people will have experienced using this person centred, asset based and outcomes focused approach to support people to think about how they want their lives to be and what resources they can access to change things they are unhappy with. This is also a great opportunity to find out how Hubs have developed within the Scottish Borders.

Places are free and are open to Health and Social Care staff, the third sector and volunteers. All welcome who want to promote What Matters within the community. Come on, you don’t want to miss out!
