Scottish Parliament praises Youth Ambassadors

A motion  has been submitted in Scottish Parliament praising the work of our Youth Ambassadors.

 The motion reads as follows..

Volunteer Centre Borders Youth Ambassadors

That the Parliament congratulates Volunteer Centre Borders’ 22 Youth Ambassadors for their work in the Scottish Borders’ nine high schools to raise awareness of the benefits of volunteering and increase participation rates; believes that volunteering is a lifelong learning journey and socially inclusive activity, and supports the view that, by empowering young people in this way, promotes early participation and longer dedication to community activities.
