BANG's Sunflower Project looking for volunteer drivers!

Borders Additional Needs Group (BANG) - a local charity which provides an outreach service for parents, young carers and disabled children with rare, complex and additional needs – are looking to recruit some volunteer drivers to help out with their new Sunflower initiative.

Following their Board meeting last week BANG came up with the idea of giving each BANG family a Sunflower seed growing kit- essentially a smallish box with seeds / compost /pot etc. so that they can ‘share’ a growing event over the summer when they are all stuck at home in lockdown. BANG are hoping that this wee project will give families a focus and an opportunity to share photos as the sunflowers grow hence staying in touch with each other which otherwise might not happen.

Volunteer Drivers are needed to deliver these Sunflower growing kits to the families, the families are spread across the Borders although the main bulk of deliveries will be in the Central Borders area.
