Nominatons Now Closed. Thanks - we had a huge response!! Nominations Now Open 2020InsipreAwards Facebook and Website

Scottish Borders Council, Scottish Borders Youth Voice, Volunteer Centre Borders and YouthBorders are working together to acknowledge the achievements and successes of young people in the Scottish Borders in 2020. Today we are delighted to launch the nominations for the Inspire Awards 2020.

It has been a challenging year but we want to recognise and celebrate the contribution of young people in our communities. We invite you to get involved. You may want to nominate a young person or you may be in a position to share this exciting opportunity with others.

We look forward to receiving nominations so that together we can shine a light on the young people within our communities who have been going over and above to help and support those around them. We believe these young people deserve to be thanked, recognised and celebrated!

Anyone can make a nomination, but nominees must reside in the Scottish Borders and be aged between 12 and 25.

Nominations must be submitted by Friday 6 November 2020: www.scotborders.gov.uk/inspireawards

Unfortunately there will be no Inspire Awards ceremony this year due to Covid-19, however all nominees who meet the Inspire Awards criteria will receive a certificate of achievement in December. We will also have a judging panel who will be assessing nominations to select 20 inspiring young people under the age of 20. These young people's achievements and contributions will be shared on social media and our local press, following an online announcement on 10 December.

We hope you will get involved, spread the word and get nominating individuals or groups of young people who have inspired you in 2020.
