Did you know that Volunteer Centre Borders (VCB) is one of four organisations which form the Borders Third Sector Interface (TSI)?

Working alongside colleagues at Berwickshire Association for Voluntary Service (Bavs), The Bridge and Scottish Borders Social Enterprise Chamber (SBSEC), the Borders TSI work to promote strong communities by providing a single point of support and advice for the development and success of third sector organisations in our region.

I would like to remind you all of our COVID19 survey https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3PYLK7Q and our zoom conversation taking place on:

The purpose of this work is to expand on the Borders response on a document produced with colleagues from Dumfries and Galloway, see document here .

We would like to discuss the recommendations and actions of this report and, it is very important that our Borders communities are equally represented, as the communities in Dumfries and Galloway in this report. There are seven fundamental key principles in this report which are:

1. Nothing About Us Without Us
2. Keep it Local, Keep it Place-Based
3. Beneficiaries Are at The Heart of Everything We Do
4. Financial Sustainability is Vital
5. Volunteers are the Lifeblood of Communities
6. Digital Working is our Default
7. The Third Sector Are a Key Employer

There is a comprehensive list of actions following the principles above and, it is important that the Borders people have their part to play and, that their voices are heard as part of a response and recovery for the South of Scotland.
